Waterway Spa Pump Side Discharge

Ships with 1.5" unions, please note that there is no standard industry size for unions. Each brand has its own unique style, so it is important to use the unions that come with our spa pump. This may require you to remove your old unions and install the new ones that are included with the pump. If your heater is directly connected to the spa's wet end, it is likely that our pump will not be compatible due to different union sizes.

When determining the correct pump voltage, make sure to look at the motor voltage rather than the voltage supplied to the spa. Before removing the power cord from your existing pump, label your wires for "common", "high speed", and "low speed". Keep in mind that the pump does not come with a power cord, and the connection diagram can be found on the motor name plate.

The wet ends of the pump can be rotated by loosening the motor bolts and adjusting the pump head. It is important to note that the pump is not self-priming and water must be above the pump head for it to operate properly. The 1.5" designation refers to the size of the PVC plumbing supply lines, not the size of the union nuts or the threads on the wet end.

This Waterway Executive 48 frame pump is equipped with a 1.5 hp motor with a 3450/1725 rpm, 2-speed operation, and requires 16.4/4.4 amps at 115V 60Hz. The large 6.5" diameter wet end is designed for higher head pressure, while the overall dimensions are 16" in length and 8.22" in height. Automatic overload protection ensures the safety and longevity of the pump.
